How to: Install all default multimedia decompression files (CODECs).
Solution:
In the 'Control Panel' window, double-click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon. Click the 'Windows Setup' tab, select the 'Multimedia' check box, and click 'Details...'. Select the 'Audio Compression' and 'Video Compression' check boxes and click 'OK' twice. Insert the installation CD or diskette.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon. (The 'Add/Remove Programs Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Windows Setup' tab. (The 'Windows Setup' tabbed page appears.)
5) In the 'Components' list box, select the 'Multimedia' check box. (A check mark appears in the check box.)
6) Click 'Details...'. (The 'Multimedia' dialog box appears.)

8) In the 'Components' list box, select the 'Video Compression' check box. (A check mark appears in the check box.)

9) Click 'OK' to close the 'Multimedia' dialog box.
10) Click 'OK' to close the 'Add/Remove Properties' dialog box. (The 'Insert Disk' dialog box appears.)
11) Insert the installation diskette into the appropriate drive and click 'OK'.
12) When installation is complete, select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Control Panel' window.
